A man who was charged with driving drunk and using his mobile phone to commit a felony has been found not guilty in a DUI case

A man accused of driving drunk while using his cellphone to record an alleged DUI is being released from jail on bond, police said.

The 22-year-old was charged last year with felony DUI, a misdemeanor.

He was arrested Friday after a deputy pulled him over for failing to signal, according to an arrest report.

Police said they found a blood-alcohol content of 0.25 percent and that he had not consumed any alcohol in the last month.

His license was suspended.

His attorney said the charge against him was politically motivated and that the charges should have been dismissed.

A hearing on his bail was set for Tuesday.
